Top o’ the Mornin’ to Ya!

TLDR: Yesterday we talked about our miss plan, but what’s our hit plan? We’ve got to have a hit plan. What do we do when we win? How do we handle wins?

What?

So much of our society seems artificially humble, subdued, or just fearful of bragging – fearful of offending someone by sharing our victories, successes, and the fruit of our labor. But here’s the thing: if you don’t have a place to share the fruit of your labor, you need to find one.

You need a core group of friends, a mastermind, a coach, or a place where you can celebrate what you’ve created with the gifts God has given you. When we have wins and keep them bottled up inside, it gets subdued, slows our momentum, and blocks the awesomeness we can become.

I heard a powerful story from one of my mastermind mentors about a guy who sold his 30 million dollar company. During the opening wins of their mastermind call, he casually mentioned, “Hey, I just sold my 30 million dollar company.” Then they moved on to the next person.

One of the other members went absolutely bonkers. He pulled his hair out and said, “Dude, did you guys just hear what he did? He just sold his company for 30 million dollars! How many of you have done that?” Everyone kind of looked down, and then they finally started celebrating properly.

Why?

This story illustrates something critical: we need to brag about our wins. I know I hate that word too, but we need to celebrate our victories. However, we also have to watch out for the danger of over-celebrating – when we celebrate so hard and so long that we dump all our momentum.

One of the things I’ve struggled with for years is not celebrating enough. I didn’t take vacations at all for a while. When I did take them, I worked during vacation and didn’t enjoy time with the kids. I worked mornings and played afternoons, fouling things up. I rarely celebrated the success I had in my work, business, or practice, even as an employee.

Lesson

The celebration is critically important as a Kingdom Family Leader. We need to create an atmosphere and environment – a group where you can share your wins and people will celebrate with you.

I recently worked with a company full of millennial-age guys in a healthy workplace where everybody wanted to work all the time. They celebrated but didn’t go away for breaks. While there’s something good about that engaged culture, the time off and celebration remains essential for sustainable success and leadership.

Apply

You need to create celebration in your life. Find or build an environment where you can share your victories without fear of judgment or appearing boastful. Remember, when we acknowledge what God has accomplished through us, we’re not bragging about ourselves – we’re celebrating His work in our lives.

What’s something you’ve celebrated lately? Or better yet, what’s your celebration plan? What are you working toward, and what’s your vision for celebrating when you achieve it?

Don’t let your wins pass by unnoticed. Create a hit plan that acknowledges success, shares it with trusted people, and uses that momentum to propel you toward even greater impact.

What’s your celebration strategy? Share in the comments what you’re working toward and how you plan to celebrate when you achieve it.

You be blessed!
