I introduced you to the biggest liar (article). Now that we know who he or she is, It’s time to take advantage of that knowledge. If we can let the liar speak out and bring negativity in our lives, can’t we also take this trusted voice and train it to bring grace, power and goodness. If you’re old enough, you seen and laughed at Stuart Smalley. Here’s a little clip:

We laughed because of the sarcasm. We laughed because some of the affirmations were just a little too simple. Maybe we laughed because deep down inside we do just want people to like us.

I can’t just leave that one lying there. If you don’t like you, who else will? If you’re in this mindset you need an immediate mind shift. You are a unique and wonderful creation of our Lord. God loves you and has a purpose for your life. He has put people in your life that also love you, depend on you, care about you and want you active in their life. I can’t take it. Thinking that you might be in this place.

Whether you are or are not, stop everything you’re doing right now. . . umm, I guess you can’t because you’re reading this and you wouldn’t know what I’m going to ask of you if you stop everything. Stand up, whether you are alone or with someone it doesn’t matter. Just do it right now—(unless you’re in a meeting at work or something like that—thanks for thinking my writing is more important than what is going on there. But sorry, It’s not!)—Stand up and read the following out loud in a strong, confident, knowing voice (not the Stuart Smally voice):

  • I am a unique and wonderful creation of God.
  • I have a God that loves me and has a purpose for my life. He has put people in my life that love me, depend on me, care about me and want me in their life.
  • I love myself.
  • I am capable of great things.

Phew, that felt really good. I just did it too. It lifted my heart and my self-love.

Imagine doing that every day. I just finished reading the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and although I had been waking up early for about eight months now, it brought some more focus and routine to the event that has increased my productivity even more. If you want the book, use my link and help me out with a little affiliate $$$.

One of the things I added is my daily affirmations. Here is the list I’m currently working with:

I have them printed out in big type with the fancy Old English font. It just feels like things are more real when they’re written in calligraphy. I use them every day and every day that I do I become more and more of what each one states.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.”
― Henry Ford

So however you see yourself today, love that. Then begin the dream, paint the picture of what you want. Be detailed in your descriptions of you and your future. With that image in mind make your own list of daily affirmations to support that change in your life. Remember my old quote:

You are what you eat
You play what you say
You achieve what you believe

And start saying what you want to play and you’ll start believing. From that belief you will achieve more than you ever dreamed.

Take a moment to share some of the affirmations you picked for yourself in the comments below.
